These twenty sculptures dedicated to Saint Verdiana, the patron saint of Castelfiorentino, armake up the “secret garden” that often reveals itself to us in our dreams, the moment in which we are able to be in contact with our deepest self, a precious source of inspiration for the path we intend to follow in our lives.
The dancing female figures represent the “secret garden” an open yet secluded place that is part of each of us, but only in our dreams. A place of empathy where everyone can become what they know deep down they can be. It reminds us we have a choice in our emancipation. A place of freedom, that uncontaminated place that we discovered as children and, as in the book The Secret Garden, allows us to rediscover in ourselves the subtle force of empathy, a “universal language” that belongs to and unites all human beings.
